Like I said on our organizational page, 'This is the Place','Therefore,if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation', and 'For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.' God has placed in each one of us, the job (the work) that He foreknew, and the preparedness to do just that job.
Did you know that you had a job to do for God, and that He has already prepared you to do it?
We are called to 'make a difference', being Christ for those our paths cross, to help those in need, comfort the mourning, and keep all encouraged in the word. We are called to love one another, not with just our lips, but through our actions and heart. 'All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation:' 2 Corinthians 5:18 We need to know and remember that GOD loves us, and that's all that matters, our relationship with Him. 'I will proclaim the decree of the LORD: He said to me, "You are my Son ; today I have become your Father'. Psalms 2:7 Let my words be few, please, I would rather read and quote what God has put before us, than come up with some ridiculous thing from me. We need to purpose our lives, and order them. 'And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.' Col 1:10-12 Our ministry, Ministering to the Body of Christ & It's leaders, is just that; we help and work with you in discovering God's gifting and purpose in your walk with Him and in life. There are many ways to discover gifts and giftings, but we like relying on God through prayer and experience; 'There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.' Proverbs 16:25 God's Holy Spirit is the teacher, stated in our beliefs on or main ministry page (the Holy Spirit, our counselor, comforter, enabling power, and wisdom, giver of Light); of which He is also the One that enables us (and you) to 'see' God's design for you!
A list of God's gifts
An exhausted list of God's gifts that He supplies us with to do the work He has set for us to do; Romans 12:6-8 (NIV) 6 We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift is prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. 7 If it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; 8 if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy, let him do it cheerfully. 1 Corinthians 12:4-11 (NIV) 4 There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. 6 There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men. 7 Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. 8 To one there is given through the Spirit the message of wisdom, to another the message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, 9 to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, 10 to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues. 11 All these are the work of one and the same Spirit, and he gives them to each one, just as he determines. 1 Corinthians 14:1 & 3 (NIV) 1 Follow the way of love and eagerly desire spiritual gifts, especially the gift of prophecy. 3 But everyone who prophesies speaks to men for their strengthening, encouragement and comfort.
1 Corinthians 12:12 (NIV) 12 The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts; and though all its parts are many, they form one body. So it is with Christ. 1 Corinthians 12:29-30 (NIV) 29 Are all apostles? Are all prophets? Are all teachers? Do all work miracles? 30 Do all have gifts of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret?
1 Corinthians 12:28 (NIV) 28 And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles, also those having gifts of healing, those able to help others, those with gifts of administration, and those speaking in different kinds of tongues. Hebrews 2:4 (NIV) 4 God also testified to it by signs, wonders and various miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit distributed according to his will. Hebrews 11:4 (NKJV) 4 By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks. I find it very interesting that right in the middle of all these gifts, Paul takes the time to describe the 'Body of Christ' (Romans 12:5 and 1 Cor 12:12) to show us that we may or can have differing gifts from others, for are ALL apostles? No, the Spirit gives them to each one, just as He determines.
Is God calling you into ministry?
If you are seeking help, and if you would like us to help; we would like to!
'There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.' Proverbs 16:25 Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only James 1:22 This is not just a quoted scripture, but a command from GOD
